More about the Dunajec River Rafting:
The Dunajec River runs through the Pieniny National Park which is located in the southernmost part of Poland. Covering the area of 23 square kilometers, it is one of the smallest national parks in the country. It does not mean that it has the least to offer, though. This relatively small area is in fact world-famous for its main attraction i.e. trips on wooden boats down the Dunajec River. The history of those trips dates back to the early 19th century when they provided the only access to the nearby castles located on the river bank. The Dunajec valley surrounded by a mountain range of up to 300m in height, unique geological structures as well as rare fauna and flora all make this part of the Pieniny Mountains really spectacular.
