Thanks to 1993 film directed by Steven Spielberg, which action takes place In Kraków during World War II, the world became aware of one of the most moving and incredible stories related to World War II.

In June 2010, after years of preparation, The Schindler's Factory Museum opened it's doors to the public. The Museum is located in the original Oskar Schindler Enamelled Goods Factory. Visitors are taken back step by step to World War II times learning it's history from the begining up until the arrival of the Soviet Army by walking through rooms filled with memories of Oscar Schindler. The Museum is one of Krakow's most important sites and an essential point for those who want to learn the City history.

The permanent exhibition "Kraków under Nazi Occupation 1939-1945" lets the visitors learn the story about Kraków and its inhabitants, both Polish and Jewish, during World War II II. Narrative begins with the events that took place a month before the War and includes first months of Nazi occupation all the way up to the history of the Krakow's Ghetto and the Płaszów Concentration Camp.

Next two rooms are dedicated to the story of Oskar Schindler and 1200 Jews whose lives He saved.

The tour lasts approx. 2 hours with an option to extend the visit by watching the movies and exploring the documents related to the Heroes of this incredible story.

Schindler's Factory Museum is a must see for those who want to fully understand the history of World War II and the impact it had on the City of Kraków and its inhabitants.
