“Kraków small group walking tour 4 hours – Old Town and Jewish quarter” is a four-hour walking tour created for those tourists who want to discover the richest history of the former capital of Poland. The tour, full of anecdotes, legends and touching stories, will enrich tourists’ knowledge with interesting bits and pieces connected with Kraków and its residents at that time. The tour starts in the famous Floriańska Street located in the Old Town. This is where we meet with the group of tourists in order to take a walk along the Royal Route leading through the most recognisable and picturesque streets of the city. At the beginning of the tour every tourist will receive a city map which will allow each of them to follow Kraków’s history while memorising its architectural layout. The culmination of the visit in the Old Town is a charming observation deck in the Wawel Hill with a panoramic view of the city. Next tourists will walk in the direction of the Jewish district – Kazimierz – which is characterised by the thriving atmosphere on the one hand and the suffering connected with the cruel times of the Nazi occupation and Holocaust on the other hand. Continuing the story about World War II and the culmination of the whole tour is the Podgórze district. Here tourists will visit the Ghetto Heroes Square followed by the Oskar Schindler’s Enamel Factory where the “Kraków under Nazi Occupation 1939-1945” permanent exhibition has been arranged. It presents testimonies of the World War II witnesses in a chronological order.
