Explore Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains

Leave Krakow for a full-day journey to Zakopane, a mountain resort at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. On the way south, pass through the Podhale region and Chochołów, a village known for its traditional wooden highlander houses.

Oscypek, Gubałówka and Tatra Views

The programme includes a stop at a traditional shepherd’s hut, where oscypek, a smoked highlander cheese, is served to guests. Continue to Zakopane and take the funicular up to Gubałówka, then ride back down after your visit. From the top, you can admire wide views over Zakopane, the Podhale region and the peaks of the Tatra Mountains, weather permitting.

Wander Through Zakopane

After the ride down, you have free time in Zakopane. Walk along Krupówki Street, browse the market, look for local crafts or try highlander dishes in a restaurant. With return transport, oscypek and the Gubałówka funicular ride included, you see the Tatra Mountains and Zakopane without organising the journey yourself.
